Too much melamine found in popular biscuits

KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said 18 out of 47 Khong Guan and Khian Guan biscuit products have excessive levels of melamine.

The products have been ordered to be removed from the shelves immediately, he said.

A number of food products in Malaysia are being tested following the melamine-tainted China milk scare and those that have melamine levels above the permissible 2.5 parts per million have been ordered off the shelves.
